A new solution to support the continuing professional development and training of the children's workforce. It is an online searchable directory and booking system for professional development and training opportunities.
The site will support the provision of a co-ordinated CPD programme which will meet the needs of our multi-agency Children's Services workforce in schools, early years and social care, and further Children's Services' areas as the site develops. In addition there will be opportunities for schools and settings to share practice by using the site as a platform to promote and take bookings for their events.
Up-to-date information about all courses and events available will be published on this website and delegates (in most cases) will be notified by email of their course bookings, cancellations or rescheduled events. A personal record of all CPD attended will be created automatically and delegates will be able to download certificates of attendance and course materials.
News items about professional development and training opportunities for Schools, Governors, Early Years, Social Care, Safeguarding and the Private, Voluntary and Independent workforces will be listed on the relevant home page. When you use the search facility however, information about events from all areas will be found if suitable to your work role or interest. In addition, email alerts can be received about courses of interest and feedback can be requested about the impact training has had on work practice/standards.
There will be an extensive and varied selection of training and development opportunities which can be accessed by clicking on search events. You may browse all courses provided without logging into the system, however to book a place you need to register as a user. Handy course listings will be available under the 'events lists' tab and via downloadable directories in some areas.
Information will be provided in the coming months about bespoke services such as workforce reform and remodelling, extended schools, and brokerage services such as training commissioning.
Work on this site is ongoing so over the next year you will see the range of CPD opportunities increasing.
